We recently released a proof of concept alpha of our first King of the Hat game project. It is playable here: acp.itch.io/king-of-the-hatThe alpha has a complete primary game loop with the basic framework of the game idea, but it isn't nearly complete in terms of a release-quality game product. Our next step is to decide which features we want to see in the beta release. Ideally, we will feature-lock at the end of beta so we can focus on polish and bugfixing before the 1.0 release. Please reply to this thread with a list of features that you think the game should have, small or large. We will filter all of the suggestions by feasibility, consensus on importance, and "fun" and come up with a set of features that is our goal for the beta release. My list which is a compilation of the features the team discussed, the feedback we received and my own crazy ideas: - 3-4 opponents
- stackable hats
- different attacks based on hat "combos"
- screen wrap
- controller support?
- pause when clicking outside of game window(to avoid losing mouse)
- some kind of scoring system
- track win streaks
- invulnerability dash w/ cooldown (like hades)
- ultra attacks (big attack that requires some resource to perform)
- hats have ammo
- non-hat pickups
- shot charge up time where the toon can't move
- non-pickup level features - spikes/damage zones, teleporters, speed boosters, etc
- multiple levels configurations
- multiple game scales to accommodate different map sizes

- Couch Coop / Vs mode
- Maps/Levels with hazards
Is the only thing I can think of to add to your list, If we want to go insane, we will add mod support such as adding new projectiles and maps, but for our first collab I think that is too ambitious (perhaps the sequel if this becomes a huge success).
